Cycle Superhighway 9 Going Ahead

As far as I can see the only way that 60% of people could be in favour of this is that mainly people from outside the area of the route voted. I haven't met anyone I know locally who is keen on the idea.

The cycling organisations want it.  I hope the area won't be completely overwhelmed by people who just want to get through as quickly as possible making it impossible for those who want to do shorter trips.It would be good if it was safe for children to cycle to and from school but parents would also want to know that they have arrived. One of the reasons for the amount of traffic is that parents take their children to school so that they know that they have arrived safely.
