Route 209 returns to old routing from 3rd August
TfL are now saying that they will return the 209 back to its former route as far as Castelnau, Lonsdale Road, just before Hammersmith Bridge. A route numbered 378 will run on the current 209 route to Putney. 209 will be every 8 minutes (10 on Sunday), and new 378 will be every 12 minutes daily, with early morning and late evening services being less frequent. From 3rd August, these changes will take place as displayed on this tweet - https://twitter.com/LDNBusUpdates/status/1150541401228292098TfL aren't the greatest with publicity, and haven't shown anywhere prominent that this change will take place, and it only has a tiny footnote on this part of the website: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/permanent-bus-changes#on-this-page-46As seen in other parts of London (e.g. Woolwich/Thamesmead/Bexleyheath when a new route was introduced) publicity with TfL has been poor lately for service changes, including with the Hammersmith Bridge situation. It is disgraceful how TfL handled the bus situation after the Hammersmith Bridge closure.
