Ravenscourt Park

I am currently researching the history of Ravenscourt Park and Square. I'd be really interested to hear from anyone who might have personal memories of the park from the last century, whether it was playing tennis, or bowling, or taking children to the paddling poo, or even boating on the lake. I'm also seeking historical information on the park, especially concerning the planting of the many exotic trees. If you have been a gardener or involved in the planting or maintenance of the facilities, I would love to hear from you.

I used the park regularly between 1952 and 1959 and can recount much of those times, if I can be of any use.

The archives at Hammersmith Library have a lot of information about it.  There is also a book, Ravenscourt by Rosamund Vercoe which they have copies of. Unfortunately the archives are currently closed due to current pandemic.
