Fines on London's red routes to rise - actually to DOUBLE!
Am I the only one to complain about this exorbitant rise? The problem is really with yellow junction boxes which are sometimes almost impossible to "negotiate" without stopping for a second or two, and then you are photographed and fined. They are effectively a trap.... for money-raising for TfL.
An excuse is given: "TfL has said the increased fines will improve road safety and reduce congestion on some of London’s busiest roads while contributing to improved air quality."
This is window-dressing: we all know that the Mayor is trying to increase revenue after the hammering from Covid. I sympathise with his predicament, but as usual car drivers are being used as a milch-cow.
