Clean Air Neighbourhood in Hurlingham and South Park, between New King's Road and Wandsworth Bridge

Anyone wanting to drive through the triangular area between the New Kings' Road and Wandsworth Bridge Road is running a gauntlet of traffic cameras. See map at bottom of https://www.lbhf.gov.uk/articles/news/2023/01/warning-period-non-hf-drivers-ends-31-january-clean-air-neighbourhood-trial?dm_i=BGN,86FJ8,NC73MX,XIQTA,1 As locals we might be aware, but anyone else is liable to caught because there are no signs at the entrance of each and every one of the small streets off the New King's Road or Wandsworth Bridge Rd. And all this does is push traffic onto the main roads, which adds to the pollution in those relatively deprived flats and houses along the main roads. This is not sensible. And of course this is all part of the "war on cars". We see you!

I agree, Ellen. Have a look at this article on the Hammersmith Society's website of Dec 2022: http://www.hammersmithsociety.org.uk/clean-air-neighbourhoods/  and this map from Hammersmith Council's website: https://www.lbhf.gov.uk/articles/news/2023/02/warning-period-non-hf-drivers-ends-clean-air-neighbourhood-trial#map  The map shows that traffic is segregated into two areas: traffic can come in and go out to each area only from the same road, otherwise they will be caught by a traffic camera.

I take a bus regularly along Wandsworth Bridge Road and it is becoming increasingly impractical as a method of travel. The area was prone to congestion before these measures were instituted but now it is a constant. I don't really understand the logic behind these changes. If they are delaying buses and discouraging people from using public transport — how can that be good for clean air?
