Hi, Sorry I didn't respond earlier - the website wouldn't let me log-in this morning unfortunately! Basically, it's up to 'volunteers' in the various wards to set something up themselves if they want to test local interest in creating their own local neighbourhood watch scheme - there isn't really an overall body as such making all this happen (although there is plenty of support once you have taken the initiative). Therefore, if you're interested in starting a scheme, the best place to start is asking around your neighbours - then if you think there is sufficient interest, contact your local SNT for a visit, help and advice on what to do next. This may mean organising an open meeting somewhere or it may just be a visit to your home. Last night's meeting for example was a fairly open meeting for people across two wards, set up by a ward panel member and resident in the Avonmore & Brook Green and incorporating the SNT Sergeants of both wards. Alternatively, you could contact Belinda Donovan (as someone suggested earlier in this thread) as she is the councillor covering this particular issue. She may be able to suggest things for getting some interest activated, for example if you set up a local meeting, she might be willing to attend. 'Hope that helps.
