I can't specifically say why the trees in Dalling Road are being pruned but I shall forward this to the Council for a response. You may also have noticed that two completely new trees have been planted in Dalling Road. These have been kindly sponsored by a Dalling Road resident in a scheme organised by the Brackenbury Residents Association in conjunction with the Council. Altogether, 16 new new trees have been planted in Brackenbury over the last few weeks. This is in addition to the trees which the Council has replaced as part of its normal programme. The new trees have been sponsored by local residents or businesses (thank you Stenton butchers and Shoots and Leaves), funded by the Brackenbury Residents Association or 'earned' by residents watering new trees last summer (4 trees watered = I new tree from the Council). If you live in the Brackenbury area (bounded by Goldhawk Rd, Paddenswick/Dalling Rds, Glenthorne Rd and the Hammersmith & City tube line) - and you have not yet joined your residents association - then do please consider emailing rosemarypettit@onetel.com for membership details. We are continuing the tree-planting programme and are keen to hear from anyone who would like to sponsor a tree (£175 a tree)or help with watering this summer.
