Goldhawk Industrial Estate Redevelopment

If you live near Goldhawk Road you may know the industrial estate with its entrance off the north end of Brackenbury Road. Locally well known as the home of Innocent drinks, it has recently been sold to developer, London and Newcastle, which has submitted plans for its redevelopment as a mixed commercial and residential estate. It backs on to Brackenbury School.There are traffic, parking, intrusion, noise, security and over-development issues with the proposals. If you're concerned about this then do come to the Public Meeting next Wednesday, 7 January at Brackenbury School, Dalling Road, W6. The London and Newcastle exhibition starts at 6.00pm and the public meeting, with speakers from the Hammersmith Society and the Brackenbury Residents Association, begins at 7.30pm.We've started a Facebook group, Goldhawk Industrial Estate Redevelopment Ha! I noticed that this area is now being redevoloped so presumably planning permission was granted????

The public meeting last week was attended by around 120+ residents, local businesses, councillors, prospective candidates and the police. The developer and PPS lobbyists were left in no doubt about local feelings on the proposed development.At residents' requests the Council has moved back the date for considering the application at the Planning Application Committee meeting from 11 February to March at the earliest. In the meantime the Council has also offered a Planning Forum meeting - a first for Hammersmith & Fulham we understand.

What happened to Innocent - I didn't realise they were so local? Are they still going? I liked their drinks but they were shockingly expensive so perhaps the current enviroment was going to be wrong for them.
