Hardly one person Paul. Suggest you pay a visit to the Crown & Sceptre - the vast majority of the ex-Andover regulars have now adpoted it as thei local.

Was in the vicinity recently so popped in for a quick pint whilst I read the paper. Hard to see what the fuss was about as it seemed like a pleasant but unremarkable boozer. Has the landlord been excluding some undesirables recently - the Beer in the Evening web site seems to have attracted some people who have clearly got it in for him. Or more likely one person who is nursing a grudge.

you dont know what your talking about. The pub is still alive and well and as far as i can tell having been there 3 x in the last couple of weeks it still sells plenty of decent beer, yes it also now does decent food but you dont have to eat. Perhaps you'd rather it did actually close down and was turned into flats ?

"Whilst we're asking, can anyone tell me who set-up Hammersmith Today.co.uk - was it the Council?"No, it's run by NeighbourNet. See www.neighbournet.com

The supermarkets are selling alcohol at a loss and the health service and community ends up having to deal with the consequences.

BBC 5 live news had an item saying that 7 pubs are closing down every day in this country. The ones that are surviving tend to be the ones serving food.

Whilst we're asking, can anyone tell me who set-up Hammersmith Today.co.uk - was it the Council? I want to get one similar to this up north - the place where all the softees come from -

Can anyone please tell me the land-line number of the Andover Arms.Regards Neil.

It still looked and felt like a pub to me when I was in there recently. Fullers are a business. The margin on drinks is very thin. The margin on food is better.
I was in there recently and it didn't seem much changed. It's still a pub and most people were drinking rather than eating. If it serves decent food all the better.

The landlord used to be at the Thatched House. Visited the Andover Arms on Mothering Sunday, had lovely roast dinner and thought it quite quant but was aware it was going to be "refurbished". Shame if it has lost its character.

Hi James. I am surprised that the moderator has allowed your rude outburst. If you didn't know the answer to my question then NO reply was required.I have no gripe about Hammersmith but it is a fact that 8 unsolved murders took place in that district between 1959 and 1965. I am in regular contact with children of 3 of the victims and they want it proved who killed their mothers. You have no idea what evidence I have that Harold Jones was involved in the murdrs. Regards Neil.

Get some help - demigrating the good name of Hammersmith with no evidence. Sick of your interventions. Keep to sheep, mate.

Can anyone please tell me if the Andover Arms was operating under the same name in 1966. 2 doors away at 51 Aldensley Road lived a double rapist and child killer.(google neil milkins to see photographs of this pervert.) He lived at Aldensley Road from 1966 until he died in 1971. His name was Harold Jones but he also used the names Harry Stevens and Harry Jones. I can be contacted via the forum or at n.milkin@sky.comRegards Neil Milkins
