Freegle in Hammersmith

http://www.ilovefreegle.org/ is a new site along the lines of freecycle. I recall some discussion on this board about Freecycle and people saying they had mixed results. This new group seems to have a very large membership already in the Hammersmith and Fulham area. If anybody is using it I'd be interested to hear how useful it is.

The local Freegle group, which is run as a Yahoo! group called hammersmithandfulhamfreegle, is a new name for the old hammersmithandfulhamfreecycle group.  That's why its membership is so large - the group owners have split away from Freecycle taking their membership with them. Owners of Freecycle groups in the UK have some sort of dispute with Freecycle in the USA who apparently own the brand name and insist on certain ways of working which the UK owners claim are unsuitable.  I'm not sure what the problem is in practice; I've always found that it works well for me.
