Where is Hammersmith?

Might seem like a silly question but is it the same as W6? The top end of Shepherd's Bush Road is W6 but feels very like Shepherd's Bush. What about W14? Is that Hammersmith, Fulham and West Kensington and when does the Fulham Palace Road stop being Hammersmith and start being Fulham?

Thanks both. The ward maps were interesting. Andy, the problem with 'Brook Green' is that the definition is very fluid with some people claiming it goes all the way to Shepherd's Bush!

Approaching from the North I regard myself in Hammersmith once I have past the old Queen Charlottes site and from Shepherd's Bush I would say Brook Green is where Hammersmith begins.
