council fixes pavement

Tonight, after 2 years the council has fixed our pavement on Hammersmith Grove. For 2 years this broken leg waiting to happen which has been surrounded by a barrier has finally been fixed. In this borough it seems that we need an election every month to get anything done. The previous Labour administration repaved half our street along with the regeneration of King Street. Since these CONS have been in power this has stopped and the rest of the Grove has the same dilapidated paving. When if ever are the CONS going to continue the regeneration?CONGRATULATIONS on your 17% pay rise CONSERVATIVE council leaders.[more than our countries Prime Minister]

DanI sympathise as we have broken pavements near me also.But the Council has no money.The Government has no money. The Country is broke because for the last 13 years the Labour Government has spent and spent and wasted billions.Governments and Councils have no money of their own. They only have what they take from us the taxpayers. And in the case of the current Government, that is not enough as it has to borrow 1 pound out of every 4 it spends.
