Cleaning up the Borough
I saw a sign today that said "a brighter borough", I assumed it meant a tidier borough. May I suggest that if we want a tidier borough that, we get rid of all the bicycles that are haphazardly tied to trees and lamposts, not only are they an eyesore, they are also a danger to people with poor sight. One other thing which is totally unecessary are the parking signs, there must be a million in Hammersmith alone, think of all the enviromental pollution that is caused to produce these, also the effect they have visually on our beautiful streets (one every 5 metres). In France they do not pollute their environment in such a manner, whilst on this point, the people of France have pride in their local environment, the streets are clean and well presented, unlike Greyhound Road, which I walk down quite frequently, it is like a rubbish tip, and the street furniture which is put there by the council could do with a clean up.Sadly, in this borough there appears to no real effort by residents and council to make an effort to have pride in it's presentation.
