'Mes Amis' restaurant recommendation
Tucked away just off the Fulham Palace Road on the corner where Crabtree Lane and Rainville Road meet there is a Lebanese restaurant called 'Mes Amis' that, from the outside, looks unassuming. If you were to peer through the windows you would be greeted by a glowing interior of a room adorned with decorative fans, landscape paintings, posters and ornaments that seem to be the accumulated items of someone who has travelled the world, met many people, has many stories and has brought back many souvenirs. I recently went along with fifteen members of the organisation I work for - Hammersmith and Fulham Circle - and on behalf of everyone who came I can fully recommend the place, which treated us to an evening of delicious cuisine and Middle Eastern hospitality. The waves of tasty courses started with smoky houmous, flatbread, spiced vegetables and tabbouleh, and then impressive sharer portions of rice and beef and tureens of chicken stew were presented for everyone to help themselves. The honeyed baklava treats rounded up the evening perfectly, and members went away truly indulged by this unusual and endearing eatery. For those who are tired of impersonal and flavourless meals at chain restaurants, this local restaurant will restore your faith in the hospitality industry.
