West Kensington and Gibbs Green Residents Accuse Council of "Abuse of Power"
Jonathan Rosenberg is absolutely right: Hammersmith Council should organise a proper referendum on its proposals for the two estates, at its own expense, and using simple, concrete language (not the developers' "marketing speak"). The Council is guilty of arrogance and possibly of receiving a bribe, viz: the £5M from Capital and Counties's development subsidiary. This non-refundable sum, effectively a deposit to "buy" planning permission, is in all but name a bribe to the Council, which it has willingly and brazenly accepted!!
