Host a board for the Chiswick & Hammersmith NCT!
I know there are a lot of people who use this forum who complain endlessly about the proliferation of estate agents boards but I am hoping the curmudgeons will see the charitable good behind this request. The kind chaps at Featherstone Leigh (W4) and Horton & Garton (W6 & W12) are giving a generous donation to our charity, the Chiswick & Hammersmith National Childbirth Trust (NCT) for each address that will host a one of their boards in the run up to our biggest fundraiser of the year - the Nearly New Sale (scheduled for 19 May @ Chiswick Town Hall, 10am - 12noon). Over 500 local parents visit each Nearly New Sale where they can kit out their nurseries with preloved baby items at a fraction of their retail prices - an invaluable service for our local community. The boards help get the word out about the sale whilst raising much-needed funds for our branch. If you are willing to host a board for us, please PM me! We would be so grateful!! A bit more about the NCT: we are the UK's largest charity for parents. The NCT campaigns for a country in which parents are valued and supported so that they may build a strong society, believing that a child's early years significantly impact upon the future they help to shape. We offer information and support in pregnancy, birth and early parenthood whilst campaigning to improve maternity care and ensure better services and facilities for new parents. The Chiswick & Hammersmith branch is dedicated to supporting local parents, from bump to preschool, and hosting fun, family-friendly events in our neighbourhoods. Lifelong friendships develop during our antenatal courses, expectant parents connect during our Speedbumps events, the home birth support group provides a warm, supportive environment for mums-to-be considering this option, whilst postnatal coffee groups create a welcome outlet for new and second-time mums.
