Paid Study for Patients and Nurses of Parkinson's Disease
Hi There, I am currently recruiting Parkinson's patients and nurses of Parkinson’s patients taking place May 15th-16th, 2012. I realise many of you will not have PD yourselves, but perhaps you are a nurse or have a family member or friend who may be interested in taking part. We are looking for patients with Parkinson's disease that are currently using apo-morphine via a pre-filled syringe or pump and patients with Parkinson’s disease that are currently using pen injectors (‘Apo-go’). We are also looking for any professional nurses who work with Parkinson's patients. Respondents would be asked to look at a new medical device that would be used to administer apomophine and give their opinion on whether or not they feel the device is an improvement to current market products. They would not be given any medication of any kind or be asked to use the device themselves. The nurses would also be asked to look at the device and give their opinion as to its suitability. They would base this on their experience and interaction with Parkinson's patients.Any one that was interested would need to come to our branch in Hammersmith and spend an hour talking to an interviewer about the device. Patients and nurses alike would be paid £80 for their time and input. Alternatively, a donation of £80 to a charity of choice is also an option. Also, any booked referral will also be compensated with £20 extra. It would obviously not be appropriate for me to ask you for anyone's contact details, but I would appreciate it if you could pass this message on to anyone who you feel may be interested in taking part in the study and they can then contact me. Or if you know anywhere else that I can try, i.e support groups or forums I would be very grateful. Please feel free to call me on 0208 834 0785 or reply to this email reception@idea-research.net.Many ThanksJennifer and Willow
