Yes, when I heard about those resignations I wondered if he was somehow involved....I would not be surprised if he was but that's just speculation at present

Stephen Greenhalgh certainly does appear to be a bit arrogant and perhaps could come across as a bit of a buffoon but in allowing the Met Commissioner to swerve this meeting and concentrate on police work he has done a good thing. The questions asked seemed to be mainly politically motivated and designed to promote party interest rather than better policing in London. That Greenhalgh offered himself as a lightening rod for this is admirable.

I think democracy is very important which is why I'm not impressed to see someone using a public forum like this to try and score party political points about a matter which doesn't have anything to do with London policing anyway. She was simply trying to trap him into making a statement on a controversial issue on which police officers had made contradictory statements. He was wise to her hence the whole debate went nowhere and the chance to ask relevant questions was missed.

Seems to me he handled the woman's pointless questions with more politeness than they deserved.
