Cineworld Hammersmith - film or digital?

We were considering a trip to see Dark Knight Rises and were going to go to Cineworld on King Street but noticed that there was an option to see it in either film or digital format. Is there any difference and if so which is better?

I think it is a matter of the projector rather than the screen. A friend of mine who is in video production says that all films will be shown only digitally in the next few years and this was not a good thing.

Hammersmith Cineworld has at least one screen which is digital, maybe more by now.

I don't think this is necessarily the case. Digital is a cheaper and more secure way to distribute film but some film makers believe that their films should be shown on celluloid. 3D does have to be digital but I don't think Cineworld in Hammersmith does 3D.

Digital is 3-D and objects 'fly' out of the screen at you. Try it so long as the film is not too scary.
