St. Peter's Nursery Closure
Sad to see the potential loss of a valuable local facility. When my kids were at primary local entry grade I remember access to St. Peter's being the dream of many parents in the same situation and the nursery was much sought after. Not sure what's changed but one sentence in the Governors' letter might provide a clue. It states: "St. Peter's Reception places are being filled by those who have not attended our Nursery because they have chosen other Nursery options and are ranked higher in accordance with our Admissions Policy."The implication of this is that you are ranked lower if you for a reception place if you attend the nursery. If this is the case then there is an obvious change they could make to increase take up.If not it would be interesting to know what is happening here. Is there a fall in take up because of the West London Free School or are property prices in the catchment area now so high that most of the new families moving in are choosing private education?
