Student Bank Accounts - Best Deals

Does any one have a recommendation of the best offers currently for a student bank account? There is such a confusing array and experience suggests there is little to choose between the banks themselves.

Nat West used to offer a Student Rail Card which is a useful little benefit but I think they have stopped now. A friend said Santander might do at the moment.
