Pick Stuart Pearce not Gareth Bale for Hammersmith

Not something I would ever have thought I would say but the FA have just released a revised tube map with the stations renamed for professional footballers. Hammersmith has been designated Gareth Bale for reasons that escape me. I know of no connection he has with the place whereas Stuart Pearce born and bred England penalty villain turned hero would have been a much better choice.

It is a strange one as they do seem to have made some attempt to link the player to the station elsewhere. Peter Schmiechel gets Denmark Hill and Rodney Marsh is given Shepherd's Bush. People on the Chiswick forum are complaining that Gerry Francis wasn't given Turnham Green. Like Stuart Pearce, he wasn't not given a station just allocated one at random which he seems to have no connection with.
