New Years Resolutions

Anyone interested in meeting once a week to encourage each other in sticking to our new year's promises to ourselves? Could be about a variety of issues that elude our self-discipline?  weight; smoking; excercise; drinking; altruism; neighbourliness; family time; music time; fun time; temper the temper - whatever you feel you need back up in  order to achieve or at least not give up after week two as I usually do?  If I get a decent response we could meet in a cafe - initially - one evening a week and take it from there.. no  money; no club rules just "where there's a will there's a way" attitude.If you don't feel the need to group - well done and good luck for 2005!

"Since you ask.. My weakness...chocolate and more chocolate!"Chocolate FIONA? One of my favourites too! I'm still going through the varied Christmas gift boxes of the stuff we received this year...and I'm saving the best little box(from Mohamed's megastore in Knightsbridge) for last. Ah, sheer gluttony!And what've you got against Hull, may I ask?  ;-)

Thanks for the support Gerry! I felt a bit alone brandishing a new idea in public. I dont know how the demographics work but if,  say, it was just you and me  the pin should be stuck  on the A-Z equidistance between Hammersmith and Ealing until someone else joins us! Let's hope noone from Hull wants to join...I just get tired of my weaknesses being exploited for others financial gain and thought it might be worth a shot to try it this way.  Also, it is quite boring to bang on about one self-indulgence in a group - why not ring the changes and have lots of flaws to discuss? Since you ask.. My weakness...chocolate and more chocolate!

FIONA, what may I ask, was your New Year's resolution? Mine was to be less grumpy and curmudgeonly! So far I'm succeeding in the promise to myself, although my grandaughters might question that. What a nice idea to meet for self support. As I live in Ealing, its probably too far for me. Wish you luck and hope you have a happy 2005. ;-)
